Welcome to Briarstone County RPG! This RPG is just based on an average suburb life. It has no specific plot, but if you want to form one with other characters, go ahead.
Basic Rules
-Absolutely NO insulting other members or hacking into accounts.
-If you are going to use foul language, please put it in ****. This site is supposed to be open to people 13 years and up, but kids may bend the rules a bit.
-No roleplaying sex. I am NEVER changing this rule, so if you have a problem, go take it somewhere else. [Kissing and all other romance is allowed] And MARK YOUR POST if you find it has...explicit content.
-Please try to put at least 2 lines of text in your posts. No 1-liners, ever!
-If you are going to talk without roleplaying in one of the roleplaying boards, put "OOC:" before your words.
-Please at least TRY to use correct spelling, punctuation, and USE QUOTATION MARKS. It makes things easier for all of us.
-No magic.
-No powerplaying, which means making someone else's character do something, unless you have permission of course. You are allowed to powerplay people who nobody controls, like pizza delivery men, schoolteachers, etc.
-Briarstone County police and other head officials are roleplayed by me unless indicated otherwise.
-If you want to be a criminal, PM me.
Joining Rules
-You may create as many FAMILIES, which means as many characters, as you want. Just keep track of all of them.
-You do not have to regularly play every single character in your family if you don't want to.
-When you join, you MUST create your bank account, or else you will not be allowed to play. I will then move your post to the Character Register.
-Characters younger than 18 need parents in their families. You can roleplay kids.
-NO CREATING "PERFECT PEOPLE", which means supermodels, Olympic champions, superstars, etc., unless you PM me first and ask. I am very strict about this.
-When you join, you can PM me and ask me to make a house or apartment for you. Normally I will not make you a mansion, so just give me a short description of the house you want. Then pick which street/neighborhood you want me to create the house.
-Each family that has at least 1 adult starts with $30, 000, 1 free average car, and 1 free house, but only a middle/low class house.
-If your character is 21 or older you are allowed to already have a car and drivers' license.
-Characters at least 4 and younger than 18 MUST attend the Briarstone Public School. I might create a college board soon, but it's not required.
-If you want to own a mansion, PM me and tell me your best reason why your character deserves to be rich that way.
-No putting too big character pictures in your signatures. It takes up an awful lot of space. Too big is anything bigger than the Welcome Table on the site header.
-Adults can get jobs, and teenagers can get part-time jobs. Just go to the Employment Agency and check out the jobs you can get. Make a new thread for your family's jobs, and I'll reply telling you where to roleplay.
-Check the calendar for plenty of information you need.
Sim Life Rules
-There are no specific times, but I'll indicate what day of the week is it and the current weather.
-I assign job shifts, but they're just to help you with your roleplaying. You're allowed to have your characters in two places at once if they're supposed to be at work. The job shifts are just so you know if it's day, night, afternoon, rush hour... etc.
-1 sim year is equivalent to 2 real time months, unless you REALLY want to make your character age, then PM me.
-You don't need to buy food, you have it already.
-Romance is definitely allowed. If your characters are getting married you can either have a church wedding or get married somewhere else, just ask me first.
-Your character has to roleplay your job at least 2 posts for each sim "Day of the Week" at the assigned board to receive his or her pay.
-For school, you don't really need to roleplay everything but kid and teen characters (4-18) must create 2 posts every sim "Day of the Week". There are no schedules.
-Same things go for College, once it comes.
-Almost all the boards have sub-boards. If you wish to go to the "main lobby" or the "entrance" of a place, that would be the board itself and not the sub-board.
-Check announcements regularly for updates on sim life!
-You can buy vacant buildings at Djan street or even set up your own food stall at the park. Just PM me first.
-Taxes have been added to the game. Click HERE to view the Taxes Rules.
Conclusion
If you are still confused, you can just post at the Questions board. I might make a walkthrough later introducing the rules of each and every roleplay board, but only if you players really need it.
Now you can go and sign up!
