Trail Horses
Our beginner trail horses are almost automatic. They follow the leading horses and respond to basic commands while ignoring beginner faults, and so are good for people who don't know how to ride but want to go on a trail ride. On the other hand, some of our trail horses are for experienced riders and can pick their way over extremely rough terrain as well as gallop and jump. Have fun!
Buttercup
Buttercup is a 20-year-old Quarter Horse mare with a gentle and pleasant attitude. She gets her name from her Palomino golden color and often has buttercups braided into her mane.
Duke
Duky just turned 21 and is a mixture of possibly more than twenty breeds. He is a dark chestnut and a bit too tall for kids, providing a suitable mount for clueless adults.
Juice
Juice's age is still unknown to everyone except the barn owner. He's very, very, very old. This pint-sized pinto pony is the perfect mount for enthusiastic children, as he loves them.
Darcy
Darcy is Duke's younger half-sister, being 18 years old. She is a lighter chestnut than him and of average height, often used for being the trail ride leader since she is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders.
Black
As you guessed it, he's black. This 13-year-old gelding might be a bit too young to be a 'schoolmaster', but he sure is gentle, with children that is. If an adult gets on his back he can be a bit of a devil, so be careful!
Seattle
This grey Quarter Horse gelding is not a beginner trail horse, but loves to be out galloping in the wind. He's not really a jumper, but tries his best. Having stayed at Silver Stirrup all his 14 years of life, Seattle likes people in general.
Sierra
Chestnut-red and with a peppery personality to match, Sierra will take you on the ride of your life if you don't teach her who's boss right away. She bucks, kicks, bites, and runs away--but when you click with her, she'll do anything in the world to make you happy.
Dominator
This retired Thoroughbred racehorse is especially good for intermediate-skilled child riders. He loves to have a good gallop out in the fields, and is only nine years old, so you'll need a bit of steadiness to keep him under control.
